Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 10, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how SermonStudio collects, uses, and retains your information when you use the SermonStudio workspace. SermonStudio is currently available to users in the United States. By using SermonStudio, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. This is a v0.1 policy, subject to change before general availability.
If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, do not use SermonStudio.
What We Collect
SermonStudio collects information in the following categories:
- Account information: your email address and a hashed credential used for authentication.
- Sermon content: audio recordings, transcripts, and metadata you upload directly or that SermonStudio ingests automatically via YouTube webhook or RSS feed.
- Usage data: aggregated pageview and interaction data collected through Vercel Web Analytics. This service does not require cookies and does not collect EU personal data.
SermonStudio does not collect payment information. There is no payment processing in v1.
How We Use Your Data
SermonStudio uses your data to deliver the workspace — including sermon transcription, analysis, Personal Development Plan tracking, and archive search. Aggregated usage data is used to understand how the product is being used and to improve it. Your data is not sold to third parties. Your data is not used for advertising.
AI Processing and Transcript Retention
SermonStudio uses third-party AI services to transcribe your sermon audio and produce analysis results. When you upload or ingest a sermon, the audio may be passed to a third-party AI service as part of delivering the transcription and review features.
Your sermon transcripts are retained for the duration of your account and a reasonable period thereafter.
Your content is not used to train AI models.
Third-Party Services
SermonStudio uses third-party services to deliver the product, including an authentication provider, Vercel for hosting and web analytics, and AI processing services. Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. SermonStudio selects providers with privacy-conscious practices and does not authorize third parties to use your data for purposes other than delivering the service to you.
Your Rights (US)
If you are a US-based user, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting hello@sermonstudio.ai. SermonStudio will process such requests within a reasonable time.
There is no EU/GDPR rights section. SermonStudio is a US-only service at launch. There is no cookie consent mechanism because Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies.
Data Retention
Account data is retained for the duration of your account. After account deletion, data is removed within a reasonable period. Sermon transcripts are retained as described in the AI Processing and Transcript Retention section above. Usage analytics data collected via Vercel is retained subject to Vercel's own data retention policy.
